Focus Moving Forward
1
Innovating for Housing Stability
Nicole recognizes that with a county of nearly a million people, Gwinnett must remain focused on providing opportunities and services for those traditionally left behind. Whether that be building a nationally acclaimed rental assistance program, opening One Stop Service Centers across the county, developing an Entrepreneur Center for innovation, building out new resources for veterans, and financing warming shelters county-wide, Nicole has a plan, and she is just getting started. Nicole has a track record of achievement in ensuring that the county meets residents where they are.

Building a Sustainable Future for Our Communities
Gwinnett and Georgia’s future is dependent on moving forward in a climate-conscious and sustainable mindset. Nicole has already championed the hiring of a new Gwinnett Chief Sustainability Office to work directly with every county department on its planning and processes, and she will keep these values front and center in all county decision making.
Record of Success

A Servant's Heart with County Public Services to Match
As Chair of the Atlanta Regional Commission's inaugural Local Leaders Housing Action Committee, Nicole led regional conversations on the landscape of housing affordability across the 11-county region. After the culmination of the County’s first comprehensive housing study, Nicole led the strategic direction for the county to address land use and zoning updates, reducing development barriers around affordability, incentivizing smart growth and development, and preserving our naturally occurring affordable housing. Nicole knows a responsible data-driven approach can bring real results.
3
Developing Communities with Connectivity
We all know that transit and mobility remain top of mind for residents who just want to live, work, and play in accessible communities. Nicole did not wait for a referendum to make transit a county priority. With the intentional investments in transit, including the expansion of Ride Gwinnett and the addition of micro transit services in underserved areas, Nicole is meeting the needs of existing transit riders and cultivating a new generation of transit riders.. Nicole has a vision for increased mobility connections across our county and will usher in forward-thinking strategies through the implementation of the comprehensive transportation plan and transit development plan.
5
Understanding Human Needs and Adapting the County to Meet Them
Under Nicole's leadership, Gwinnett has invested in a new Human Services Needs Assessment, the first time a full-scale evaluation of county services in over 30 years. With the data and feedback from the review, Nicole wants to ensure the county's services are evolving as the county grows. Whether it be food insecurity, housing and homelessness, senior services, or veteran care, Nicole will continue to serve as our voice for our most vulnerable populations in this crucial review and update.
2
A Firm Financial Foundation with an Eye on Building for the Future
